About the event
Welcome to the Videoland Film Collective: a queer film series at the Historic Masonic Temple, and a celebration of physical media and film itself! Join us at 5:30pm with your VHS tapes, DVDs, Laserdiscs, and other physical media in tow, and swap with other likeminded movie heads! Then join us at 6:30 for our feature presentation.
This month's selection is the 1972 John Waters sleaze-fest Pink Flamingos. Starring a stable of Waters regulars, including the fabulous Divine, Pink Flamingos tells the story of two Baltimore families feuding to be named the "filthiest people alive." This is the movie that put the Dreamlanders on the map, finding sublime in the ridiculous. Rated R.
Concessions will be available for purchase. Tickets are $5 to see the film (but the movie swap is free to enter).
