Announcing the 2024-2025 cast
What is Audio Drama?
Audio drama is a dramatized, purely acoustic performance. With no visual component, audio drama depends on dialogue, music, and sound effects to help the listener imagine the characters and story. Audio drama may include plays or episodic productions written explicitly for audio, dramatized works of fiction, and plays originally written for the theatre, including musical theatre.
What is Dark Night Audio Theatre?
Dark Night Audio Theatre is a new audio drama program at the Historic Masonic Temple focused on producing audio dramas within the fantasy, science fiction, and paranormal genres. The name “dark night” comes from a theatre term that refers to a night without a live performance or rehearsal, giving the performers and production team a chance to rest. In addition to recorded audio productions, we will present select productions as staged readings in front of a live audience.
